9 Reasons to Join AIBA!
- Your Fellow Members! We are all in this together. Let's think and buy local. Most of our members provide discounts to fellow AIBA members.
"AIBA is an organization that gains value. There's credibility in learning from others and in consistency of events. Before I joined, I was unaware of the amount and type of people involved. As a small business owner it's a realistic expenditure." - Myra Ghattas, Slate Street Café
"Our mission at Office Alternatives is really to help other businesses to grow and be successful. And that's why I value AIBA. I've got a vested interest in keeping Albuquerque a truly unique place to live and good for business; AIBA's diversity of membership is great!" - Deb Austin, Office Alternatives
- You'll Have An Active Voice In the Community & Government. We promote "Buy Local" and small biz economic incentives at events as well as in radio, print, and television interviews and on blogs such as Duke City Fix. AIBA has a seat on the mayor's small business council and we participate in both city and state economic development forums.
- Free Networking Events. Our free networking events are held at member locations, such as Slate Street Café, Los Poblanos, Just Sprinklers, Dekker/Perich/Sabatini, WESST, O'Niell's Pub, The Loan Fund, or the Albuquerque Arts Alliance.
- Free Educational Seminars. Our monthly "Lunch and Learns" in 2009 focus on emarketing (and better marketing in general) with presenters giving your realistic advice on topics from "Web 101" to "How to Talk Techie with Your Web Developer."
- Our Monthly Think LOCAL! Lunch Clubs. Every month you can attend a low-key, yet informative private lunch at one of our member's restaurants, such as Slate Street Café and Cervantes. For only $15.00 (to cover lunch) you'll get great food and can share great ideas. Attendance is limited to 20 to allow lots of conversation and idea-sharing.
- You'll Be Marketed In Our Twice-Yearly Member Directory. You'll also receive additional discounts for spotlight advertising in the directory. The directory, is distributed all over the city in shops, restaurants, markets and library branches. It will also be inserted in Albuquerque The Magazine July and November issues, 2009. (15,000 issues).
- You'll Be Marketed On The Web, with a searchable member directory available to all. We also post member news on our site.
